RegenAg – is it the future or just a fad?

THIS EVENT IS NOW FINISHED.  If you would like to see a recording of the event, you can see that here.

Join us on Tuesday 7th September at 7.30pm for a live discussion where we’ll be exploring what seems to be the latest trend in food production and farming, ‘Regenerative Agriculture’ – this will follow with a live Q&A.

Move over sustainability, RegenAg is all the rage and it seems everyone is jumping on the trend. But what does it actually mean? How does it differ from conventional agricultural practices? Is it really the solution to climate change and biodiversity loss that it claims to be? Is veganism the answer to the climate crisis, or where does meat fit in?

All of these questions and more will be discussed with AgRewild’s Sean McCormack hosting the conversation alongside some very special guests.

It promises to be a very interesting evening, so please join us and feel free to ask any questions live on the night.

Panel Guests:

Lynn Cassels & Sandra Baer:  from Lynbreck Croft are a couple who are farming sympathetically with nature and producing high quality food, including high welfare meat, on the edge of the Cairngorms in Scotland. Lynn and Sandra have been featured on the BBC and in the Guardian.

Jeff Korsmit:  Jeff is a Dutch organic farmer adopting permaculture principles to raise rare breed Mangalitza pigs, poultry, rabbits and sheep. Jeff is a passionate horticulturalist and ecologist, promoting the importance of mixed animal and plant agriculture to build soil health and functioning ecosystems. Jeff is keen to show the whole process of farm to fork meat production and he doesn’t shy away from tackling complex arguments.

Rewilding land, sea and people

THIS EVENT IS NOW FINISHED.  If you would like to see a recording of the event, you can see that here.

Join us on 25th February at 7pm for a live discussion and Q&A on why the rewilding movement is offering hope for humanity, climate and biodiversity.

Sean McCormack from AgRewild will be hosting the conversation and will be joined by Felix Appelbe, founder of Ocean Ambassadors, and Cal Major, founder of Paddle Against Plastic. We’ll be exploring the perspectives of these passionate conservationists on what rewilding means to them, and how it can be applied to farming practices, protecting the ocean or indeed our own lives.

During the webinar there’ll be a couple of short presentations where we’ll outline the practical and ideological aspects of rewilding, how it applies to farmers, landowners and the oceans and how people can adopt some rewilding thinking into their own lives.

We will end with a live Q&A.

Rewilding Woodcock

We’ll also be premiering a short film showing how one farmer’s outlook on his land at Woodcock Farm has changed over the years: from the agricultural revolution to gradually allowing nature to return to the farming process. ‘Rewilding Woodcock’ is beautifully symbolic of the changes we are seeing in many landowners, a desire to let nature flourish where once it was suppressed.
